| Madrid was coming closer and closer. Madrid! They would be lost as soon as they got off the train. The phone was the only connection they had with home, but it had a flat battery and the sockets on Arturo’s seat didn’t work. | ||

| ‘Then can you buy me some food? I can’t steal from the train café.’ | ||
| ‘Wow!’ Arturo exclaimed as they were walking to the café. He was looking at Inés’ clothes. ’You look like a girl!’ Inés went red and looked at her feet. | ||
| They bought rolls with ham and cheese. The orange snake went faster and faster. Soon it was racing through outer Madrid. While they ate they talked about what to do. | ||
| ‘I can breathe if I’m inside and the windows are closed, but I’m going to have trouble outside,’ Arturo explained bravely. | ||
| ‘Why do you want to buzz, anyway? It’s the most stupid superpower in the universe…’ Inés complained to her friend. | ||
| ‘I never said buzzing was a superpower…’ | ||
| ‘If only you could make yourself invisible! Then perhaps the thugs couldn’t use their machine to catch you.’ | ||

Buzzing made him very tired in cities. He had to drink a lot more water. Now he was going to Madrid, the biggest city in Spain. He had left Libros very suddenly. There had been no time to think about how Madrid would affect him. | ||
